Written and produced by Miss Tun Pickney
Reggae music has always been a genre that's not been afraid to confront social challenge. History has shown that one person can make a difference and overcome huge challenges. This is something I have always believed in and is what drives me to continue to produce music.
A line came to me 'One doesn't seem like many' and that gave me the theme for the song.
VERSE 1
One doesn’t feel like many it only needs one to make a stand
One can be tough or yielding like solid concrete or grains of sand
One can be warm or distant a bleeding heart or a heart of stone
One can be hero or zero but never afraid to stand alone
CHORUS
One by one is all it will take to make the world a better place
One by one and one becomes a movement with the power to change
One by one becomes an army that's fighting for the human race
One by one we can build a world where peace and love overcomes the rage
VERSE 2
One may always stand alone but it's always the first of many
One can be priceless or of little worth like gems or phoney money
One can be firm or lack direction like a proud tree or flickering grass
One can lead or one can follow a righteous cause to the very last
CHORUS
One by one is all it will take to make the world a better place
One by one and one becomes a movement with the power to change
One by one becomes an army that's fighting for the human race
One by one we can build a world where peace and love overcomes the rage
VERSE 3
One can start out with a vision where it leads is the great unknown
One can cherish or abandon like an archangel or devil’s own
One can heal or be divisive a peacemaker or warmonger
One can truly make a difference it’s not just any other number
